TRIP UPDATE:
Last visit: July '11
This year we visited Cidade Leste and João Pessoa to see and participate in the work that is being carried out through support of GFTC. We spent 12 days visiting, doing Bible-school type events, ministering in churches, and seeing where God is at work for the future of GFTC.
Our team consisted of Roger Morrell and Nathan Musick, Sharon Bryant, Will, Alice, Rebekah, Andrew, and Abby Tompkins (all from Celebration Church) plus Travis Langley and Richie Van Hoose from Piney Baptist Church in Oakdale, TN.
Celebração Church in Teresina is continuing to grow and reach into the community as the body of Christ, with her pastor, Fernando Ramos. Please continue to pray for Fernando and Sandra as they minister the Gospel to the people of Cidade Leste, for the ministry of the school which touches the lives of many children and their families each year. We were reminded yet again of the powerfully negative impact of drugs and alcohol abuse in this community. Please pray that open doors of opportunity to combat this will become evident, and preparation for that be provided.
Pastor Paulo is faithfully serving in the resort town of João Pessoa. He recently writes:
"With great joy and gratitude that we send to you the latest news from our field. We recognize that God was very kind in sending us to this beautiful state, where we have the privilege of serving in the evangelization of the new generation. In particular I want to highlight the work of communities J. Alpha, Jd. Range and Jd. Beta, are very needy community. In these three communities have cooperated with Project Better World, where we have weekly Bible study for children, Judo, tutoring and vocational courses."
We ministered alongside Paulo and were blessed to meet many other people with a heart for the children of JP. Please pray for fruitful labor and united mission in João Pessoa. Paulo is a magnetic servant of God with great vision for the Gospel to be shared with children and youth.

Church/School:
Support for Fernando as Pastor of church with $1,000.00 per month commitment ---- this prayer has been answered! Glory to GOD!
Increase support to add second preschool class. Cost would be around $800 per month.
Pr Paulo:
Increase support to $500.00 / mo. ----This prayer has also been answered!! Glory to GOD!!
For both areas, please pray for continued fruitful work, increased vision, and clarity of purpose for all ministry trips in the future.
